Metal Building Specifications

General:
1. Building Type shall be:
---(A) Rigid Frame (RF) Clear span, Single Gable Tapered Rigid Frame Type.
2. Roof Slope shall be one of the following:
---(A) 1 on 12 standard on all building types with rib type roof panels
---(B) Slope over 1 on 12 thru 5 on 12 available also.
Bay Spacing shall be:
---(A) Range of 10' thru 40' available on all building types. 20' thru 25' are most economical buys.
Framing:
(1) All framing members shall be shop fabricated for bolted field assembly.
---(A) All primary field connection shall be bolted with plated A325 high strength bolts and to be installed with the "Turn of the Nut" method.
---(B) Other secondary field connections shall be plated A307 bolts.
(2) Primary rigid frame members shall be welded assemblies
(3) Purlin and Girt framing members all be light gauge, Precision roll-formed Zee sections of 8", 10" or 12" depths as required for various loading S and Spans.
(4) Paint shall be one coat of red oxide structural primer applied to all steel that is not galvanized
Roof and Wall Covering shall consist of roll-formed steel panels as follows:
---(A) Standard Roof Panel to be 26 ga. Galvalume
---(B) Wall Panels shall be 26 ga. R-Panel having a color-coated factory applied to finish.
---(C) Roof "R" and Wall "R" panels shall be 36'wide coverage with major ribs at 12" centers. Roof and Wall panels shall have 1 1/4" deep ribs.
Fasteners for Covering:
---(A) Exposed fasteners for "R" wall panels shall be self-tapping sheet metal screws color matched to roof and wall panels.
Accessories:
---(A) Personnel Doors shall be reversible, non-handed Fabricated from galvanized embossed steel and finished painted white. Frames shall be reversible steel and finish painted white.
---(B) Windows shall be aluminum, horizontal slide, self-flashing, B-2 rated with or without storm sash. Insulated glass is available as an option.
---(C) Plastic skylights shall be profile matched to "R" panel configuration in: standard single thickness of 8 oz.
---(D) Wall louvers, round roof ventilators and continuous Ridge ventilators shall be pre-coated galvanized steel or galvalume.
---(E) Plastic Roof Jacks and Curbs shall be furnished for Roof openings.
Warranties:
Unique Systems shall furnish a "1 year" workmanship Warranty with our installed building packages.
Roof and Wall "R" panels carry a "20-year" Manufacturers Warranty.
